Contemporary porcelain art

July 5 to December 8, 2024

Porcelain was the white gold brought to the Netherlands during the VOC era. In the 18th century, European factories succeeded in producing a similar material. Today, porcelain is an integral part of our daily lives. Sinks, toilet bowls, tableware, prosthetics, even knives and machine parts are made from this hard white material. This exhibition runs parallel to the exhibition Porcelain Fever at Nationaal Keramiek Museum Princessehof in Leeuwarden. They pay attention to the first European porcelain from the 18th century. Ceramics Center Ten Barn shows contemporary porcelain art by leading makers from across Europe.
